Publisher

A Publisher is an entity with an audience or multiple users. A Publisher uses the to create a rewards platform that advertises offers to cultivate loyalty, engagement, and retention among their users, all while generating revenue from each user-redeemed offer.

User

A User is a person who registers for the Publisher's rewards platform with the intention of redeeming offers. This person typically originates from the Publisher's existing audience, which may include:

  • Customers of the Publisher
  • Individuals who follow the Publisher on social media
  • Subscribers to the Publisher's newsletter

Offer

An offer is a type of brand promotion that a user can redeem in Publisher's rewards platform. A user can earn rewards from a qualifying transaction made from redeeming an offer. A brand can be linked to multiple active offers. Here are the offer types that Finfare provides:

  • Cashback - Rewards the user with money for redeeming this offer type. The amount that the user earns is stated on the offer. Cashback can also be earned when a user purchases gift cards from the Publisher's rewards platform.
  • Payment-linked - Provides rewards for card linked transactions that a user makes.
  • Affiliate links - Provides rewards when a user makes a purchase from selecting a link that tracks per user that tracks.
  • Vouchers - Provides a promo code that can be used by the user to redeem rewards.

Rewards

Rewards are specific forms of value that are earned by the user when an offer is redeemed. The rewards type can be personalized based on a Publisher's preferences. The following are some examples of reward types that a Publisher may wish to have their users earn:

  • Cashback
  • Store credits
  • Points
  • And more

How rewards are distributed

Publishers have the option to allow to pay out cashback rewards to their users, or directly receive the payout:

  • Option 1 - sends cashback directly to the users.
  • Option 2 - This option allows Publishers to reward their users credits or other forms of rewards instead of cashback. The Publisher then converts the cashback to store credit or other alternative reward types. This option helps drive more engagement for the Publisher.
    • For example: A Publisher creates a rewards platform that allows users to earn points instead of cashback. These points can then be used to purchase merchandise on the Publisher's website.

Cashback

Cashback is rewards type that is earned by a user when an offer is redeemed. The cashback amount is typically a percentage of an eligible purchase made when an offer is redeemed.
